We are looking for conscientious and compassionate individuals to join a fast-paced team at a U.S.-based non-profit. Our organization provides financial grants to individuals impacted by natural disasters and in need of assistance. Assistant Accounting Clerk will ensure accurate completion of a high volume of daily transactions. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required. Daily tasks include monitoring and processing tasks scheduled for the day; Conducting accurate reporting of transactions; Conducting payment research; Creating and issuing payments via a third-party platform; Completing monthly reconciliations; Assisting with deposits and incoming donations; Clear communication with team management, reporting issues immediately, asking for consultations as needed; Ability to work necessary hours, with a minimum of 4 hours a day overlap with EST working hours of 9am - 5pm.
Qualifications include:
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (required)
* High proficiency in English - writing, reading, speaking
* Computer savvy - must have personal computer with internet speed of 100mbps or higher
* Successful track record in a financial department
* Ability to thrive in a 100% virtual office environment, across multiple time zones
* Strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (required)
* Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
* Ability to follow instructions, outlined processes and procedures
* Flexible - fast learner, can easily adapt to changes, can work independently and with a team
* Self-organized, with plan on approaching day-to-day tasks
* Good with time management - Quick response time, multi-tasker
* Willingness to work whatever hours are necessary to provide grants to individuals in need around the world, particularly during times of disaster
* Understanding of international financial and geographical requirements
* Familiarity with NetSuite enterprise systems a plus
