Position Summary and Qualifications:
The Part-Time Assistant Coach/Instructor participates in coaching and instructing student-athletes who are members of the university's intercollegiate Track and Field / Cross Country programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Coach/instruct student-athletes in the Track and Field/Cross Country program.
- Work with the Director of Track & Field/Cross Country and the Associate Head Coach to assist with the administrative duties of collegiate coaching. These include, but not limited to, CARA logs, travel and transportation plans, identifying qualifies student-athletes. tracking team members' academic progress, etc.
- Work collaboratively with the head and assistant coaches and team support staff to mentor and develop student-athletes on and off the field.
- Ensure that appropriate safety precautions are taken during training.
Minimum Qualifications: Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication abilities.
- An inclusive and servant approach to leadership.
- Education and/or experience in the filed of business intelligence or data analytics.
Preferred:
- Intercollegiate playing or coaching experience.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: - Ability to participate and/or demonstrate drills
- Some travel, nights and weekends related to competition.
