As a Building Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining our district facilities, equipment, and grounds, ensuring they are safe, clean, and conducive to learning.

• Take initiative in addressing maintenance needs and solving problems.
• Provide excellent customer service to all facility users.
• Work collaboratively with the principal and building staff to address issues as they arise.
• Show a willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general housekeeping tasks, including cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and other areas according to district standards.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work.
• Support kitchen staff by assisting with floor mopping and stocking supplies.
• Maintain building grounds, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and snow removal.
• Set up and take down equipment for events.
• Respond to questions and provide excellent customer service to facility users.
• Complete all reports and logs in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• MN First Class C boiler license preferred.
• Willingness to obtain an MN Specialist boiler license within one year of hire date.
• Training or experience in cleaning and maintaining commercial facilities desired.

• 2nd Shift position: hours 3 PM - 11:30 PM
