The Secretary of the Navy and the Superintendent of the Naval Academy established the Center in 1998 to be a thought leader in the field of military ethics and leadership and serve the Naval Academy, the Naval Service and national institutions of influence.
The Deputy Director will have experience in strategic planning, budgeting and personnel management. It is preferred for the incumbent to be a senior civilian academic with higher-education teaching and administrative experience, or a former military person with operational, administrative and education/training experience.
