Job Description
This role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence two Fridays per month, every payroll processing day, every Tuesday, and one Thursday a month. On average, you'll work three days in the office and two days remotely.
About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented HR Analyst I / Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll bring your payroll expertise to ensure accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service to employees. Key Responsibilities
Perform quality reviews of payroll work completed by Specialists and Senior Specialists.
Administer the payroll process, including verification, calculations, and previews.
Process and administer garnishment orders.
Ensure compliance with payroll and time/labor laws, policies, and practices.
Calculate and review retroactive payroll adjustments, leave payments, terminations, and exception processing.
Input batch data into the payroll system for miscellaneous payments, deductions, and tax changes.
Audit and reconcile data from HR systems to payroll systems, including salary and tax records.
Check, maintain, and audit payroll and timekeeping records to meet established standards.
Conduct payroll cycle audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Communicate effectively with employees to address payroll-related questions and concerns.

Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of payroll experience with multi-state employers.
Expertise in garnishment processing and payroll system knowledge.
Experience with multi-state tax calculations, short-term disability offsets, overpayment recovery, and salary prorations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Availability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including support for employees in different time zones.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
Experience with ADP Vantage Payroll and Time platforms.
