Job Description

As the Inventory Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels, efficient storage, and timely replenishment of products. You will play a critical role in optimizing inventory processes, implementing best practices, and maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy to support the company's operations and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Control: Develop and implement inventory control procedures to monitor and maintain accurate stock levels. Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and address variances to minimize inventory shrinkage and loss.
  2. Inventory Optimization: Analyze inventory data and demand forecasts to optimize inventory levels and product mix. Identify slow-moving or obsolete items and develop strategies to reduce excess inventory and improve inventory turnover rates.
  3. Stock Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to ensure timely replenishment of stock. Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to place purchase orders, track order status, and expedite deliveries as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
  4. Warehouse Organization: Design and optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization and facilitate efficient inventory movement. Implement labeling and signage systems to ensure accurate identification and retrieval of inventory items.
  5. Inventory Tracking: Utilize inventory management software to track inventory movement, update stock records, and generate inventory reports. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory data, including item descriptions, quantities, locations, and transaction history.
  6. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory data. Conduct periodic audits and inspections of inventory items to identify discrepancies, damaged goods, or quality issues and take corrective actions as necessary.
  7. Process Improvement: Continuously assess inventory management processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement initiatives to streamline inventory workflows, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.
  8. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor inventory control staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to inventory management policies and procedures. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the inventory team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, preferably in a technology or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead a team.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices, warehouse management systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records and conducting stock counts.
