Serves as Office Administrator to the COM Office of Public Affairs, Communications & Alumni Relations and the Dean's Office Executive Staff.
Provides direct administrative, fiscal and programmatic support with daily management and coordination of activities for the COM Public Affairs, Communications and Alumni Relations Office, the Dean's office executive staff, and the college’s development officer(s). Responsible for communications and mailings and the maintenance of databases to support such communications. Promotes an atmosphere of teamwork in accomplishing the mission & goals & the strategic initiatives for the division to include delivery of administrative & academic services for special projects or in meeting key departmental deadlines.
Serves as department representative for the Office of Public Affairs & the Office of Development, for all finance & administrative activities. First point of contact for transactional accounting & HR needs. Assists with interpreting and advising on administrative and financial policies & procedures as they relate to the office of Public Affairs. Responsible for requisitions & purchasing of supplies. May be responsible for training & supervision of OPS staff.
Maintains current knowledge of research techniques through library literature and research and attendance at campus seminars.
Serves as travel representative for the division, processes & submits all travel authorizations, gathers documentation & submits travel reimbursement. Makes all necessary travel arrangements to include hotel, flights, car rentals, etc. as needed for faculty & staff in accordance with FSU policies & procedures ensuring travel arrangements & reimbursements are processed in a timely manner.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
