Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-time, Office Assistant position for Enhancement Services. The Office Assistant is under the direct supervision of the Program Director of Enhancement Services.
The Office Assistant duties include but are not limited to: Data tracking for Structured Treatment Rosters (STP) rosters, Education data, tools and sharps tracking, Print Shop and Resource Library inventory tracking. Other duties include general office assisting and pickup and delivery of STP rosters to all residential programs as well as other deliveries for the department as requested by their supervisor during their shift. Other duties include assisting with quality improvement projects within the department, across all subdepartments.
The Office Assistant performs computer keyboarding (typing) for a significant portion of daily duties, except as otherwise specified by the Program Director or designee. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to follow oral and written directions, evaluate situations accurately and take effective action, be able to lift up to 30 pounds, operate a state vehicle or electric cart and communicate with various departments, management and staff. Successful applicants must also demonstrate a strong understanding and commitment to providing the best possible care to patients.

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
