AtkinsRéalis is seeking a
Senior Airport Civil Engineer to join our
Orlando, Florida office. This candidate will work alongside other engineers developing the planning, design, and construction of airside and landside airport improvement projects in Florida and throughout the country.

How will you contribute to the team?- Leads/supports coordination with diverse design teams comprised of variety of design professionals and multi-discipline subconsultants during design and construction phases.
- Oversees design elements and leads production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, roadway, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure.
- Prepares specifications, contract documents, and other project related documents such as reports and permit applications.
- Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost-effective solution.
- Performs field observations of construction where appropriate.
- Coordinates with clients, permitting agencies, FAA, and other agencies having jurisdiction as required.
- Participates in quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, checking computations, and/or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others.
- Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct.
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
What will you contribute?- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering in Engineering and have 4-10 years of experience. The typical incumbent has 5 to 8 years of experience since bachelor's degree.
- PE License Required.
- Experience with airside and landside aviation projects.
- Detailed knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, airport design, and engineering standards.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical writing and communications skills.
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
