Job Description

We are growing our team and are looking for a Senior C ompliance Test Engineer to help us with the certification of our expanding next-generation fixed wireless access (ngFWA) product portfolio.

  Job Responsibilities:   

  • Learn how to operate Tarana’s equipment and drive in-house execution of test plans of our products.
  • Methodically conduct the in-house pre-compliance tests, compare against the emission limits, and document test results for internal review.
  • Work with the external test labs for FCC/ISED formal testing and certification for our wireless product portfolio.
  • Work closely and coordinate compliance activities with the cross-functional teams, such as system engineers, RF/HW engineers, program managers and the operations team.
  • Prepare DUT for formal certification at an outside certification lab.
  • Review test data, power tables and official FCC/ETSI test report.
  • Troubleshoot failing test cases such as out of tolerance emissions.

  Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3 - 8 years of experience in RF and EMC Regulatory Compliance
  • Specializing in wireless devices (AP, Client, CPE)
  • Experience with RF spectrum parameters testing, radiated/conducted emissions and immunity testing
  • Detailed knowledge of spectrum analyzers, signal generators and network analyzers
  • FCC Part 15E for all UNII bands, including 6 GHz and AFC interoperability testing
  • FCC Part 96 for CBRS, including SAS interoperability testing
  • EN 302502 testing for 5.8 GHz band; DFS is a plus
  • EN 55032/35 testing, EN 61000-4-5 surge testing is a plus
  • Familiarity with array antennas, MU-MIMO and spatial streams, and beamforming
  • Ability to interpret technical standards, and regulatory rules, and apply into practice
  • Ability to help out with other lab activities; writing test automation scripts
  • Must have a BSc/MSc or an equivalent technical degree

The salary range for this position is: $140,000 to $180,000

Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to: skill set, years of experience and the employee’s geographic location.
