Job Description

This person will be on site from 8 am until 1 pm each day summer school is in session and will work to ensure that summer school is a successful experience for all students.

The middle school summer school program is an invitation-only program, focused on building students’ literacy, math, and social emotional skills. Summer school also provides opportunities for students to develop executive functioning skills and become oriented to middle school.

Position Responsibilities:

• Upfront preparation for summer school, including course content/materials/training, securing teachers and educational assistants, preparing registration materials, overseeing the registration process, and working with student services on transportation.
• Day-to-day management responsibilities ensuring the smooth operation of summer school.
• Communication with parents and staff.
• Securing guest teachers, as needed.
• Handling student needs, including office referrals.
• Student supervision during drop off, meals, and dismissal.

Primary Location : Westside Middle School

Salary Range : Per Hour

Shift Type : Extra Assignment
